Properly protecting your resources is important to keep them looking beautiful and lasting as long as possible. Here are some tips to help you protect your resources well:
Avoid Washing Too Frequently: Washing your hair frequently can weaken extension bonds and cause extensions to become loose. Try not to wash your hair more than 2-3 times a week and use a sulfate-free and keratin-friendly shampoo and conditioner. For best results, we recommend using the care set for PLATINUM Hair Extensions.
Wash Gently: Be gentle when washing your hair and avoid rubbing the roots. Instead, focus on cleaning the lengths and ends of your hair while paying attention to the connecting areas.
How to Use Conditioner: When applying conditioner, do not apply conditioner near the roots or extension points, instead apply it from the middle part of your hair and towards the ends. This reduces the chances of your resources spilling and falling.
Avoid Hot Water: Use lukewarm water to wash your hair as hot water can weaken the weld joints.
Carefully Comb: Carefully comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb without a tip, starting from the ends and moving towards the roots. Be gentle and careful when scanning source ports. For best results we recommend using the PLATINUM Welding comb.
Before Sleep and Sea: Before going to sleep or going swimming, make sure your hair is completely dry and tangle-free. Tie your hair in a loose ponytail or braid to prevent tangling while sleeping or swimming.
After Sleep and Sea: Cleanse your hair from factors such as sweat, sea water and chlorine after sleep or sea. Wash your hair, then comb it and remove water with a towel. Sea water, chlorinated water or sweating while sleeping can tangle your hair.
Using Tongs and Blow Dryers: Excessive heat use can have a detrimental effect on both your natural hair and your extensions. If you have to use heat, use heat protectant PLATINUM TWO PHASE spray and set your tools to low temperature.
Regular Maintenance: Visit your salon for regular maintenance appointments to check the condition of the extensions and keep them safe.
Avoid Chemical Treatments: Avoid chemical treatments such as hair dye, lightener or perm solution near the bonded areas as this can weaken the bonds.
Protect Your Extensions During Physical Activities: Prevent excess stress on extensions by keeping your hair in a loose ponytail or braid while playing sports or exercising.
Don't Use Oil-Based Products Near the Bonds: Avoid applying oil-based hair products or serums to the bonds because they can cause the extensions to slip.
